DARPA Project

The overall objective of this effort is to apply revolutionary advances in biology, surgery,
materials science, modeling, and electronic systems to develop a fully integrated, bidirectional Regenerative Peripheral Nerve Interface (RPNI) that is amenable to clinical translation. The specific goals of this project are to develop a working prototype of the regenerative peripheral nerve interface for high fidelity motor control and sensory feedback of a prosthetic device and to validate it through a rat hindlimb amputation model.
